Iconic Nature

Natural History

New York State’s spectacular landscapes are renowned; every rock and ridge that has been meticulously carved by glaciers thousands of years ago is testament to the State’s natural history. It’s this preservation of scenic wonders that continues to inspire visitors.

Niagara Falls is the oldest State Park in the nation, and a place where tourists began flocking to way back in the 1700’s. The Falls themselves were carved by the Wisconsin glaciations, the same force that created the Great Lakes. Nearby you can visit beautiful Letchworth State Park, known as the ‘Grand Canyon of the East’ the scenery here will stun and surprise.

And for the end of the day the Roosevelt Baths and Spa in Saratoga Spa State Park, offers natural relaxation. It is a place where tourists have soaked or sipped Saratoga’s naturally effervescent waters for centuries.
