Join the fun at fall festivals and farm tours, where you can sample fresh-pressed cider and artisanal cheeses or pick your own apples and pumpkins. We also have hayrides sweet and scary, magnificent mountains for leaf peeping and Halloween celebrations you’ll never forget.

Travellers come from around the world to see our gorgeous fall foliage. From historic Hudson Valley estates, to the sky-high peaks of the Adirondacks, and from Finger Lakes vineyards to the majestic Niagara Falls, you can take in stunning views from scenic vantage points in every region of New York.

There are so many ways to enjoy the season. Follow a picturesque country road or a scenic byway. Stroll in a botanical garden. Go camping, hiking, biking, or ride a horse on a woodland trail at a state park. Go fishing or kayaking on a crystal-clear lake. Or take in the view from a ski center’s chairlift or gondola.

Get a close-up view of the autumn leaves on a narrated train ride or see them reflected in the water on boat tour. You can even take to the skies in a hot-air balloon or soaring plane.

With a fresh new season of performing arts, several big parades and festivals like the Feast of San Gennaro, New York City is especially vibrant, too. Head to Bryant Park during Fashion Week, when the colors on the runway rival those on the trees.

From the appearance of the first crimson maple leaf in the Adirondacks to the famous Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, autumn is a celebration in New York. However you choose to enjoy it, it’s an awesome experience.
